Save names and preferred spellings in Dictionary. Corrections apply to recognized text; they do not train the speech engine.

Say a snippet trigger on its own to insert a sign-off or other saved plain text. Choose Light, Dark, or System appearance.

A small habit, a useful shortcut

Speak. Review. Keep going.

One initial setup. Then a shortcut that fits into your day.

  1. 01

    Make it yours

Download the speech model, allow microphone and Accessibility access, and choose your dictation key. No AI account or API key.

  2. 02

    Say what’s on your mind

Place your cursor in a text field. Press your key to start, speak, and press it again to finish.

  3. 03

    Give it a quick read

Bulong inserts the text into compatible Mac apps. If insertion fails, copy the result instead. Always check names and numbers before sending.

Permission setup and the first model download need a little time. Speech processing works locally after the model is ready.

On-device transcription

The speech model runs locally. Audio and transcript text are not part of subscription checks.

History you control

Search, copy, export, or clear saved transcripts. History is stored locally and is unencrypted.

A clear internet boundary

Model downloads, license checks, and optional update checks need the internet. That is separate from processing your speech.

Before you ask

A few useful details.

More setup help
Can I use it in any Mac app?

Bulong aims to insert into the active text field using macOS Accessibility. Some apps, secure fields, remote desktops, and unusual editors may prevent insertion. You can copy your transcript if needed. Compatibility is part of the release testing, not a promise that every field will work.

Is Taglish accuracy guaranteed?

No dictation tool gets every word right. Bulong is being tested for everyday English, Filipino, and mixed speech. We haven’t published a completed accuracy benchmark yet. Try your own phrases during the trial and check names, numbers, and anything important.

Does it need the internet?

Yes for setup, model downloads, and periodic subscription checks. Once its model is ready, speech is processed on your Mac. Paid access has a limited offline verification period, not an unlimited offline lifetime license.

What Mac do I need?

An Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 14 or newer. Model size, memory needs, and measured performance will be listed with the tested public release. Intel Macs are not in the initial launch.

What about Windows, Android, iPhone, or web?

Mac comes first. Other platforms are being considered, not released or dated. A browser or iPhone companion would record, transcribe, and copy inside its own app; it would not offer the same system-wide Mac experience.

Will Bulong send a message for me?

No. Dictation inserts text; you review it and decide when to send. Bulong is not a substitute for checking the content.

Less friction between thought and text

Speak the way
you actually think.
